HISTORY
After learning the basics of metalworking, I began to explore more diverse manufacturing methods. I learned about the fabrication processes of materials such as acrylic, glass, stone, wood, laminates, and upholsteries. I gained experience with industrial manufacturing through providing dies for casting and CAD files for the fabrication of components at local manufacturing facilities. I have also spent extensive time perfecting some proprietary finishes that harness and control the beauty of the natural oxidization that occurs in steel.
As a self-taught designer, my work is the product of experimentation, refinement, and the development of processes, along with personal vision and a lifelong obsession with seeing that vision materialize. Understanding of the processes used in the production of these designs comes from extensive experience in the manufacture of these pieces. This hands-on education has provided expert knowledge of the requirements and restrictions of a diverse range of applications and materials. These designs are based on tested production methods and finishes that have endured the test of time and are sometimes inspired by nature, the most timeless design of all.
